Musandam : Musandam Peninsula is a Northern Region of Oman having a radious of Approximate 3,000 sq km. The Strait of Hormuz which is one of the most busiest sea routes in the world passes through this peninsula makes this area more strategical. More than 45,000 people lives here. Khasab is the Capital of Musandam with more livings compared to other places of Musandam also known as "Norway of Arabia". 1. Khasab Castle : Khasab castle was built in 17th century by portuguese and it was the first line of defence for invaders from sea. This tower is basically a square type of construction with towers at every corner. Every areas in the Khasab castle showcases the culture and traditions of Khasab. Exhibitions are the other attractions of Khasab Castle inlcudes the making of traditional axes and fish traps. If you are visiting the Khasab Castle never the miss the ancient Central round tower incorporated to castle believes that it built by Portuguese.

2. Bukha Castle : Bukha Castle One of most popular castle in Oman, built in the 16th century by Saif Bin Sultan Al Yaroubi. This castle features with pear-shaped watch tower can easily operates or easier to fire a cannon compared to the traditional straigh-sided version. When you travel 4 Kilometers on the coastal road from Khasab in the direction of Bukha and turn left when you reach the village Qadah. A short drive from there will take you to the Tawi Village which is located at the end of valley.Here you can experience the ancient rock carving which is petroglyphs where it was used to pass the information of their history to the next generation using drawings.


4. Mountain Safari :  Jebal Harim - The mountain with around 2,087 meter above the sea level is a must visit for Adventure Lovers across the world. The road is basically untarred which is extremely off road can be only experienced with 4X4 vehicles with experience drivers or expert hikers on foot. When you start exploring Jebal Harim , the entire journey offers you the amazing breathtaking view of mountains , plateaus , bumpy landscape & valleys. The Sayh Plateau situated at the 1,400 meters add most scenic landscapes with its small villages and rocky formations. When you cross the Omani Air Force Station also the plateue the journey leading to Rawdah Bowl when the winter rains this place would fill with blooming wildflowers and attracts small wildlife. The way to Rawdah from Sayh Plateau is line with lined with traditional “Bait al Qufl” which means lock houses. All these lock stone houses were bulit of local rocks, also it don't have any windows or roofs but it is designed with traditional omani locking systems. When the people leave this area on summer season this lock houses keep their belongings safe inside. 

5. Khasab Musandam Dhow Cruise :  Dhow cruise to the fjords of Musandam is the main attraction of this region. It is an enchanting experience liked by people of all ages be it from toddlers to elderly persons. During the dhow cruise, we cruise inside Khor Shem, the longest sheltered fjord in Musandam which is about 17 KMs in length. You can see humpback dolphins and bottle-nose dolphins in the fjords. These dolphins are inhabitants of this fjord. You can see this joyful creature throughout the year inside the fjords. Telegraph Island, a historical landmark where Britisher laid first Telegraph cable in 1864, it ran from India to Basra, Iraq. You can enjoy snorkeling at Telegraph Island to see butterfly fish, groupers and coral fishes. Dhow passes by fisherman villages like Nadifi, Qanaha, Maqlab and Shaam. There are two options for dhow cruise; full day dhow cruise timings: 10 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and half day dhow cruise timings: morning: 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and Afternoon: 1:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.



6. Zipline : Zipline in Khasab is an adventurous activity. It is the longest zipline over the sea in the world, which is recorded in the Guinness Books of record. This ziplines is extending to 1.8 KMs. It starts from Jebal Fit and passes over Khor Qadah to land at Atana Khasab hotel. It has two lines parallel which can be operated same time in a superman/superwoman position. Ziplines reaches to a speed of 130 KM/H. In approximately 90 seconds you would reach the landing pad. Minimum weight required is 50 Kg and maximum 115 Kg can only experience this tour.

7. Overnight Camping : Overnight Camping is the one of the top attraction in Khasab. Beach camping and camping inside musandam fjords are mostly done by tourists.The beautiful view of sea and the sand & the place to swim would give someone the best emotions ever. Just imagine the sleeping in the beach by listening the calm voice of sea. Saif Al Ghareeb beach is one of the fully equipped campsite with all facilities only you need to carry your swimsuits and belongings. Wadi Sal Ala , the other beautiful campsite is a natural salt flat located in between mountains on three sides with basic facilities. You can go to Khor Najd by boat or off road vehicle  , this spot promises the scenic mountain road with breathtaking views of the lagoon. Always carry plenty of water , food and camping equipments as it is a remote location.
                                                   The other option would be overnight camping on board of a dhow. Overnight camping is a complete package to explore the fjords of Musandam. Overnight camping is a 22 hour trip. It is a private tour, exclusive dhow for a group. Overnight camping has variety of activities like dolphin watching, swimming, kayaking and trekking to the view of two seas. It is a full-board trip. It includes all three meals; lunch, dinner and breakfast. For overnight sleeping on the dhow; mattresses, sleeping bag, pillows, sheet covers etc are provided. You sleep on the open deck of the dhow seeing the dazzling stars in the sky. If you are lucky, you can see bioluminescent planktons in the night time.
